If you are still recovering from the long weekend celebrating America's (and Canada's) independence, we have one of the best remedies in town – a selection of new, totally awesome vintage watches for your enjoyment. This week we have a range of sporty chronographs, sleek dress watches, and classic Rolexes. Let's break it down, shall we?
A 1970s Patek Philippe Reference 3445
Patek Philippe was and still is known for their classic dress watches and mechanical innovations, and the reference 3445 is no different. This automatic calendar wristwatch knocks it out of the park with its understand white-gold case, angular lugs, silvered dial, and subsidiary seconds – not to mention the concealed crown, which provides the ultimate under-the-sleeve experience. A 1950s Breitling TransOcean Chronometre
It's no secret that vintage Breitlings are great, but this 1950s TransOcean takes the cake. In the 1950s the TransOcean was it and was featured in all of Breitling's advertising campaigns. With its elegant yellow-gold case, cross-hair dial, and delicate features you might think this is the ultimate dress watch, but in fact it was much more than that. The TransOcean was given the prestigious Chronometer certification, an accolade often reserved for the likes of Rolex. For more on the Breitling TransOcean click here.
A 1970s Rolex Daytona Reference 6263
You have probably read about the Rolex Daytona reference 6263 here, and if you are anything like us, you probably can't stop thinking about it. Well, we have a fantastic example of a Rolex 6263 here with a silver-dial version with black subsidiary dials, black acrylic insert, and screw-down chronograph buttons. It's super cool and spectacular in the metal. For more information on this piece, click here.
