It's Wednesday, June 1st, and you know what that means – MORE WATCHES. This week we have eight watches for you to browse, ranging from a sporty Jacques Monnat chronograph to a Rolex "Paul Newman" Daytona reference 6241 (yes, you read that correctly). All in all we have some fantastic pieces that we are thrilled to share with you. Read on for more vintage-y watch goodness.
A 1940s Breitling Premier, Reference 777
A vintage Breitling pink-gold Premier chronograph is hard to come by these days, but here we have one for you. This watch is everything we dream of when we think of 1940s Breitling, with the 38 mm pink-gold case and perfectly proportioned gold, two-register dial. This watch is in great condition and is perfection on the wrist. More details on this watch here.
A 1970s Vacheron Constantin Reference 7592 Full Set
At first glance, this steel Vacheron doesn't appear to be anything special, but when you find out that this watch houses the ultra-thin caliber K1120 automatic movement AND is a complete set – well, that just goes to show that you should never judge a book by its cover. This gorgeous steel watch comes with everything (with exception of the original strap), including the original box, outer casing, and Certificate of Origin. For more details on this watch click here.
A 1969 Rolex ‘Paul Newman’ Daytona Reference 6241
We are stoked to list this Rolex "Paul Newman" Daytona reference 6241 with white dial and black sub-registers. This piece is truly a grail watch for some, including many HODINKEE staffers. (One day! Maybe?) The example we have here is a reference 6241 with push-down chronograph buttons and a black acrylic bezel insert. This is an incredibly desirable color combo and reference (you can read our reference guide on Paul Newman Daytonas here). For more on this watch click here.
Fear Not, There Are More
On top of these three fantastic examples of watches for sale in the HODINKEE Shop, we have the following as well: a late 1960s Jacques Monnat Incabloc Chronograph; a 1950s Patek Philippe Calatrava reference 2545 with Tiffany-Signed Dial; a 1986 Rolex Submariner reference 5513 with original papers; a 1969 Rolex Datejust reference 1600; and a 1993 Rolex Day-Date reference 18248 in yellow gold with burl birchwood dial.
